Erica Leigh Jervis relocated to Nashville, TN in September of 2009. She has since been writing songs relevant to her life experience; meaningful and poignant, while maintaining a playfulness that speaks to Erica’s personality. She feels it’s important to keep a sense of humor even if life’s obstacles are mounting, and this personal ethos is reflected in her craft. She is ready to bring her new music to fans soon, with a new website and by frequenting local writers’ nights in Nashville.

       Erica harbors great respect and admiration for all writers and is excited to present her material in this way. When she first came to Nashville, she listened to a round at the Bluebird that featured Vince Gill; after the show they had a conversation about maintaining the art of writing songs and communicating lyrics as a craft. He inspired Erica to make the move, realizing that she wasn’t just a hollow heart but a passionate artist looking for her home.

       With a background in the performing arts spanning her entire life and a degree in Creative Writing from SUNY Binghamton, Erica looks to her future with a brightness she has never felt before. She’s got fire in her belly, experience under her belt and a desire to perform that eclipses all else at this point in her life. Although her first project, “Love Is,” is dear to Erica, she’s ready to open up and stretch herself as a songwriter, grow as an artist, and sing from a place that is as intimate and genuine as if you were meeting her for coffee.
